Gisburn Forest is one of Yorkshires most popular trail centres. Built in the usual sustainable trail centre style, but with a real variety of sections. Fast and flowy, plenty of tech stuff and some great descents. The climbings pretty easy going, with just one main climb to the top of the ‘Hope line’ and then the rest are quite short and painless.
The most popular sections are the renowned ‘Hully Gully’, known for its huge sweeping turns, and the Hope descent line, a twisty downhill with few nice drops and jumps.
Some great additions have gone into the trail over the last few years, with more trail being added all the time, reducing fire road to a minimum.
You can park at the Cocklet Hill car park, or your better driving a little further along Dugdale Lane (to the marker on the map below) and following the signs for the main car park as it has facilities.
