A cracking weekends was had at the Ard Rock a few weeks ago. My first time at this event, couldn’t believe how big it was. More like a festival with over 1500 riders , 1000 racing on the Sunday alone! Watch the vid below, should give you a good feel of the event:

The loop itself was awesome, 26 miles, 4500ft climbing and 5 stages. With so many riders on course, it felt more like a MTB sportive than Enduro. It did lead to major traffic issues in the stages with riders setting off every 15 seconds. This didn’t detract from the fun though, most folk were extremely courteous and everyone was still smiling!
We didin’t have much luck results wise with mechanicals and some major mid stage hold ups. Still a huge amount of fun through and will be going again. Would reccomend it to any mountain biker. Can’t wait for next year!

And an awesome time was had at the Ard Rock Enduro TT last weekend, big shout out to Rob who smashed the competition and took the win by nearly 9 seconds! My first big race in a fair while, I finished 4th overall despite catching riders on both runs. Very happy with that. Results and photos over on rootsandrain.
